Hellens Contracts have successfully completed a range of contracts which have involved the construction and/or maintenance of river and coastal defences.

Employees have experience of working in tidal environments with all having appropriate confined spaces training.

Activities include:

Construction of river and sea gabions

Rock armour in river and sea defences

Rip rap and stone revetment

Soil retention on steep slopes

Dredging and processing of river silts

River diversionary work

Concrete infill

Provision of associated furniture; seating, litter bins etc.

Flow control in river conditions using rock armour

Pontoon worked excavations to create clear water to 2m

Bank stabilisation using geomembranes, seeding and natural staging techniques
