The show homes at Barratt's new housing development at Fell View, Consett, were opened with the help of cubs and scouts of 1st Blackhill Scout Group on Friday 8th August. Hellens' Health, Safety and Environmental Manager Nick Redpath, who is also a scout leader, led the group.

Barratt North East Development Director Neil Milburn said: "We wanted to do something different for the launch and also to recognise the contribution that Scouts make to the local community."

Hellens carried out the £3.3m ground remediation, piling operations, roads and sewers and groundworks scheme. This contract follows on from a previous, successful housing scheme in Consett for Barratts North East at Berry Edge.
